Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our Pretoria office. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of South African tax law and will be responsible for providing sound tax advice to clients, ensuring compliance with legislation, and assisting with tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Analyze financial statements to provide tax advice.
• Prepare tax compliance reports and explain them to clients.
• Draft correspondence with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in taxation and tax technology.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in taxation consulting

Technical Skills

• Tax Compliance
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Client Management

Certifications

• Certified Tax Adviser (CTA)
• SARS Tax Professional designation

Languages

• Afrikaans: Fluent
• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Tax Audits: Experience with leading tax audits will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Excel: Advanced Excel skills will help in data analysis and reporting.
