Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The right candidate will play a crucial role in providing pharmaceutical care, assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, and ensuring the highest standard of service to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications and ensure accuracy in dosages.
• Offer advice to patients on over-the-counter medications.
• Support in maintaining pharmacy cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care.
• Manage the pharmacy's inventory and order medications as needed.
• Participate in health promotion and wellness activities.
• Document and report any medication errors promptly.
• Actively engage in team meetings and collaborative care plans.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Pharmacy Technology
• Further studies in pharmacy or healthcare is an added advantage

Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant pharmacy experience

Technical Skills

• Medication management
• Inventory control systems

• Interpersonal skills
• Time management

Certifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
