Job Description

As a Philosophy and Religion Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive educational experiences in religious studies. Your role will include fostering a sense of curiosity about world religions and philosophical inquiry while promoting an inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate interactive discussions on philosophical issues and religious beliefs.
  • Create learning materials and resources that support lesson objectives.
  • Evaluate student understanding through various assessment methods.
  • Promote character development and ethical values within the classroom environment.
  • Coordinate and manage student involvement in community service projects.
  • Conduct research and stay informed on educational best practices.
  • Encourage inclusivity and respect for different beliefs and backgrounds in all class activities.
  • Foster a supportive classroom culture that encourages student participation.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Religious Studies or Philosophy is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching religious education
