We are on the lookout for a talented Film Editor to join our creative team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in film editing, proficient in industry-standard software, and possess a keen eye for detail. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the final product of our projects, ensuring a seamless narrative flow.

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video footage into a cohesive and compelling narrative.
• Ensure the film's pacing and structure align with the creative vision.
• Engage in post-production processes including colour correction and sound design.
• Work with the production team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Utilize editing software to create visually stunning content.
• Maintain strict adherence to industry best practices throughout the editing process.
• Offer creative suggestions to enhance the storytelling aspect of the project.
• Participate in project discussions to align on vision and direction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Media Arts or related discipline
• Relevant certifications in film editing are preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in film editing
