Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices. You'll be actively involved in conducting assessments and developing strategies to promote sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments for new projects in accordance with local regulations.
• Prepare and submit environmental impact reports and ensure compliance.
• Implement eco-friendly practices within client operations.
• Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions to gather input on projects.
• Evaluate environmental risks associated with project proposals.
• Provide recommendations for mitigating environmental harm.
• Participate in public consultations and workshops.
• Develop and manage project timelines and budgets related to environmental consulting.
• Stay updated on environmental regulations and industry trends.
• Foster relationships with clients, enhancing client retention and satisfaction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree is preferable

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in environmental consulting or related fields
