Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Port Elizabeth team. This role requires a proactive approach to safeguarding our systems, analyzing security incidents, and implementing robust cybersecurity measures. The successful candidate will work closely with IT teams to develop and enforce security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security alerts and provide insight on potential threats.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for security solutions.
• Review and respond to security incidents while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Prepare and present security reports to management.
• Enhance security measures based on industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Assurance

Experience

• 5 years or more in a cybersecurity role

• Threat Analysis

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in penetration testing: Practical experience in executing penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks: Knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and PCI DSS.
