DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud technologies, automation, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes, with a focus on enhancing our infrastructure and deployment pipelines to ensure seamless software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain configuration management and automation frameworks.
• Ensure system scalability and maintainability through best practices.
• Develop monitoring and alerting solutions to promote operational awareness.
• Engage in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation of issues.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field is advantageous
• Any relevant professional certification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in IT and DevOps practices

Technical Skills

• CI/CD Tools
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Terraform for IaC deployments: Hands-on experience using Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Understanding of Agile principles and frameworks in software delivery.
