Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Examiner to join our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing tax returns and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, providing valuable insights to enhance our clients' financial strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of clients' tax positions and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop tax strategies in collaboration with the finance team.
• Serve as a primary contact for tax-related inquiries from clients.
• Ensure compliance with data protection laws in handling client information.
• Document and maintain tax-related files in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in tax planning meetings and contribute insights for decision-making.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Postgraduate qualification in tax law is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax examination or compliance roles

• Financial Analysis

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zululand: Conversational
