Job Description

The Cloth Spreader is a vital role within our textile manufacturing team, responsible for accurately spreading and preparing fabric prior to cutting and sewing. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a similar role and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Spread fabric on cutting tables according to specifications.
• Ensure fabric is defect-free before processing.
• Utilize measuring tools for accurate fabric measurements.
• Mark fabrics with cutting lines as per patterns.
• Identify and report any fabric defects immediately.
• Prepare fabric for sewing production by organizing and stacking appropriately.
• Maintain a tidy and organized work area.
• Assist with additional tasks as required by management.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the textile manufacturing industry

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Measuring tools proficiency

Advantageous

• Experience with fabric cutting machinery: Knowledge and hands-on experience with various fabric cutting machines.
