Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating industrial sewing machines, specifically Picked-Edge sewing machines, ensuring high-quality production of various textile products.

Responsibilities

• Run industrial sewing machines efficiently to produce high-quality garments.
• Conduct quality checks on materials and finished products.
• Prepare fabric for sewing, including cutting to appropriate dimensions.
• Adhere to sewing specifications and guidelines to ensure accuracy.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Comply with safety regulations and workplace policies.
• Fulfill production deadlines while ensuring quality control.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of production output and material usage.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Further qualification in Textile Technology is an advantage

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a Sewing Machine Operator.
