Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Cape Town team. In this role, you will be responsible for securing our systems, monitoring suspicious activities, and implementing effective security protocols. Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity.
• Schedule and execute penetration tests.
• Collaborate on incident response plan development.
• Draft and update security documentation and policies.
• Provide recommendations for improving system security.
• Work with the technical team on security patches and updates.
• Research and recommend new cybersecurity technologies.
• Evaluate existing security measures and recommend enhancements.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Related Field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity and risk management

• Risk Assessment
• Cloud Security

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Scripting Skills (Python, Bash): Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages.
• Incident Response Experience: Hands-on experience in responding to security incidents.
