We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Johannesburg team. You will be responsible for analyzing security incidents, monitoring networks for security breaches, and implementing security measures to safeguard our resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assess security risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents.
• Evaluate security software and tools for potential implementation.
• Educate employees on security best practices.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure standard adherence.
• Prepare regular security reports for upper management.
• Implement encryption and data protection measures.
• Conduct periodic simulation and training exercises.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Security
• Master's degree preferred in a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity management
