Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering, contributing to various projects that enhance urban infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data for project feasibility.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale projects.
• Prepare and maintain drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Review and approve contractor submittals and shop drawings.
• Ensure that projects adhere to budget constraints and timelines.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with community needs.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
• Advise on environmental impact assessments and mitigation measures.
• Research and implement industry innovations and technology in projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering
