Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients’ dental issues.
• Implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Perform advanced dental procedures including root canals and crowns.
• Monitor patient recovery and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Promote preventive dental care and education to patients.
• Collaborate with specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain a sterile and safe working environment.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on dental technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical dentistry

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in dental procedures
• Radiographic interpretation

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication
• Empathy and patient care

Certifications

• Registered Dentist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Specialization in orthodontics or periodontology: Advanced training in orthodontics or periodontology is highly desirable.
• Experience with modern dental technology: Familiarity with digital dentistry and CAD/CAM systems.
