DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, automation, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). You will play a crucial role in managing our infrastructure and enhancing the performance of our applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Serve as a liaison between development and operations teams.
• Conduct security assessments and implement necessary controls.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Enhance existing systems and processes through innovative solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Relevant certifications are a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps engineering

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Ansible

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Effective communication

Certifications

• Google Professional DevOps Engineer
• Docker Certified Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies: Experience working in an Agile project management environment.
