Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD practices, and be passionate about building scalable and reliable systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts in containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Manage version control systems and maintain software repositories.
• Conduct system audits for security and compliance.
• Assist in the migration of legacy systems to cloud solutions.
• Implement monitoring tools to enhance visibility and reporting.
• Optimize resource allocation within cloud environments.
• Support DevOps initiatives through effective communication strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in Information Technology preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Git

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices: Understand ITIL processes for service management.
