Job Description

We invite applications for the role of IT Support Technician in Bloemfontein. This position requires someone who can provide first-line support, maintain IT equipment, and assist users with software applications. A proactive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve IT issues through troubleshooting and user support.
  • Assist with hardware upgrades and installations.
  • Manage IT documentation and knowledge base updates.
  • Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with new technology.
  • Work with IT vendors for hardware and software procurement.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress.
  • Help maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure all IT equipment meets safety and compliance standards.
  • Support users during system migrations and upgrades.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field
  • Relevant IT certifications are an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support or similar roles
