Mining Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Mining Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining operations and will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of our mining projects. You will be responsible for developing mining plans, conducting feasibility studies, and overseeing the implementation of new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise mining strategies based on resource assessment.
• Ensure all operations meet local and international safety and environmental standards.
• Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
• Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.
• Implement quality control measures throughout the mining process.
• Report to senior management on operational performance and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Mining Engineering
• Postgraduate qualifications desirable

Experience

• 5+ years of mining experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Languages

• English: Fluent
