Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Service Desk Engineer for our Johannesburg office. This role will focus on providing support for various IT services, ensuring all technical issues are resolved promptly. Strong customer service skills and a technical background are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact for IT support for internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to support tickets promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with troubleshooting network connectivity problems.
  • Maintain regular communication with users regarding their requests.
  • Provide feedback to management on recurring issues and potential improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures.
  • Participate in IT projects as needed to improve service delivery.
  • Conduct training for new staff on software and tools used in the organization.
  • Monitor support requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Certifications such as ITIL or CompTIA A+ are advantageous
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a service desk or IT support role
