Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This role involves assessing our security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing effective measures to counteract potential threats. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in network security protocols and possess strong analytical skills. You will play a critical role in protecting our organization’s information assets and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security technologies such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Evaluate new security solutions and make recommendations.
• Participate in security assessments and penetration testing.
• Work with third-party vendors to manage security operations.
• Serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
• Master's degree or relevant certifications is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field

Languages

• English: Fluent
