We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will assess and evaluate insurance applications, analyze risk, and make informed decisions on policy approvals. Strong analytical skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analyses to evaluate the potential risks of insurance applications.
• Make recommendations on coverage limits and premiums.
• Assist in the preparation of underwriting reports for management.
• Build and maintain relationships with agents and brokers.
• Participate in underwriting meetings to discuss trends and issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients during the underwriting process.

• Experience with policy writing: Ability to draft clear and concise policy documents.
• Familiarity with data modeling tools: Experience with tools used for risk modeling and analysis.
