Job Description

As a Clinical Psychologist at Mental Health Services South Africa, you will play an integral role in enhancing the lives of our clients. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing mental health disorders, providing therapy, and collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews and develop treatment recommendations.
• Provide individual and family therapy in various settings.
• Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic approaches as needed.
• Participate in case conferences and supervision.
• Engage in community outreach and education initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in psychological practice.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
• Post-registration clinical experience is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in mental health services

Technical Skills

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Crisis Intervention

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• Supervisor of Clinical Psychology Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Setswana: Conversational

Advantageous

• Certifications in Play Therapy: Preferred qualification for working with children.
• Background in neuropsychology: Exposure to neuropsychological evaluations and interventions.
