Job Description

As a Chemical Engineer in our Johannesburg branch, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our chemical production systems. You will engage in process improvement and design new systems to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and implementation of chemical process improvements.
• Work on scale-up from laboratory to full production.
• Analyze production schedules to optimize workflow.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure product standards.
• Review and recomend equipment upgrades to enhance operational output.
• Conduct training on new processes for operatives.
• Research new materials and methods to innovate processes.
• Participate in safety and environmental audits.
• Manage projects that enhance the sustainability of production processes.
• Drive initiatives to ensure ethical sourcing of materials.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• PhD in Chemical Engineering is highly regarded

Experience

• 5+ years of experience with a focus on process optimization
