Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will assess risk and underwrite policies that meet our clients' needs while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will work closely with brokers to evaluate applications, analyze data, and provide recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk profiles for new insurance applications and recommend appropriate coverage.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance underwriting policies and practices.
• Prepare reports on underwriting activities and trends for management review.
• Communicate policy terms and conditions clearly to clients and brokers.
• Monitor and analyze trends in the insurance market to guide underwriting decisions.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss coverage and enhance relationships.
• Review policy renewals and make adjustments based on risk evaluations.
• Contribute to developing marketing strategies to attract new clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in insurance underwriting
