Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This role requires in-depth knowledge of threat analysis and mitigation strategies to protect our systems and data from cyber threats. We value proactive individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed risk assessments and provide recommendations for improving security posture.
• Create and manage incident response plans to mitigate potential breaches.
• Implement and manage security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Conduct training sessions for staff to enhance their understanding of cybersecurity policies.
• Collaborate with external vendors on security solutions and threat intelligence.
• Analyze security incidents and prepare reports for management review.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
• Master's degree is preferable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
