Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Manager to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. This position requires a strong leader who can inspire a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational management, staff performance, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing functions and ensure adherence to ethical standards.
  • Assist in the development of care plans and patient assessments.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to address unit challenges.
  • Analyze patient care trends and implement necessary changes.
  • Ensure optimal staffing levels and effective scheduling.
  • Collaborate with hospital administration on operational policies.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms for patient and family involvement.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control measures.
  • Advocate for patients' needs and ensure their rights are respected.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Nursing Sciences
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Leadership is preferred.
Experience
  • At least 6 years of experience in nursing, with a focus on management and leadership.
