We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our East London team. In this role, you will manage client relationships, offer tailored tax solutions, and ensure adherence to legislation changes. Your expertise will help our clients save on taxes while remaining compliant. A proactive approach and excellent interpersonal skills are a must!

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee client tax accounts, ensuring compliance.
• Advise clients on tax-efficient deals and structuring.
• Prepare thorough documentation for tax-related transactions.
• Conduct risk assessments related to tax matters.
• Provide training and support to junior staff on tax processes and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in tax consulting or similar role

Technical Skills

• Taxation knowledge
• Accounting software proficiency

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Excellent communication skills

Certifications

• Tax Practitioner Registration
• CA(SA) or SAIPA qualification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of international taxation: Experience dealing with cross-border taxation issues and compliance.
• Experience with tax software: Familiarity with tax compliance software such as SARS eFiling and CIPC.
