Plant Utility Person

Job Description

As a Plant Utility Person, you will ensure the efficiency and safety of plant operations through routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery. Your role is vital in maintaining production flow and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting machinery.
• Implement preventative measures to ensure minimal downtime.
• Assist with inventory management of maintenance supplies.
• Keep records of production metrics and equipment performance.
• Participate in team meetings and report on maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Document all maintenance tasks in a maintenance log.
• Replace defective parts and complete repairs as required.
• Work with external contractors for specialized repairs.

Advantageous

• Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial environment: Hands-on experience operating in a factory setting.
• Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems: Familiarity with fluid power systems and their operation.
• Experience working with PLCs: Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and their applications.
