Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist at Local Community Pharmacy, you'll be at the forefront of patient care. Your responsibilities will include dispensing prescriptions, advising on drug interactions, and promoting health awareness within the community. We're looking for someone passionate about improving patient health.

Responsibilities

• Manage the pharmacy inventory and ensure timely restocking of medications.
• Conduct medication reviews and report adverse drug reactions to relevant authorities.
• Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs.
• Assist in the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Review patient histories and consult with doctors as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Pharmaceutical Knowledge
• Patient Counseling

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• BLS Certification
• CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a retail pharmacy setting: Prior experience working in busy retail pharmacies is beneficial.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical software: Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and software.
