Cashier Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Cashier Supervisor to join our team in Cape Town. This role entails overseeing daily cashier operations, managing the cash desk staff, and ensuring a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail management and a passion for leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct cashier team in delivering outstanding service to customers.
• Monitor cash register activity to prevent discrepancies.
• Facilitate training programs for new and existing staff.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and respect among cashiers.
• Participate in stock audits and inventory management.
• Stay updated on product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
• Engage in regular performance reviews to motivate staff.
• Manage shifts and ensure adequate coverage at the cash desk.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Higher Certificate in Retail Management preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced retail environment

Technical Skills

• Point of Sale (POS) Systems
• Inventory Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
