Job Description

As a Freight Hustler, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the transportation of goods and cargo. You will arrange shipments, negotiate rates, and ensure the timely and efficient delivery of freight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of freight movement including loading and unloading procedures.
• Prepare and process shipping documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Establish and maintain relationships with drivers and third-party logistics providers.
• Perform cost analysis and identify potential savings in freight handling.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during transportation.
• Assist in inventory management and stock control activities related to freight.
• Conduct regular audits of transportation activities to enhance service delivery.
• Train and mentor junior staff on logistics processes and compliance standards.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives in shipping operations.

Advantageous

• Knowledge of warehouse management systems: Experience in managing warehouse logistics for better efficiency.
• Previous work experience in a senior logistics role: Leadership experience in logistics can be an advantage.
