Network Support Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Network Support Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting network systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. You will assist users with technical issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Implement network monitoring tools to track and analyze network performance.
• Respond to support requests and provide solutions for network-related problems.
• Test and evaluate new network technologies and solutions.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery protocols for network operations.
• Assist in creating a strategic plan for future network growth and capacity.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.
• Collaborate closely with IT management on network policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in IT or related field
• Relevant certifications preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in network support or IT helpdesk

Technical Skills

• LAN/WAN Management
• Network Security

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
• ITIL Foundation Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Linux systems: Familiarity with Linux operating systems and their administration.
• Experience with network automation tools: Knowledge of tools used for network automation and configuration management.
