Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our East London team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and managing civil engineering projects, and will be passionate about contributing to the growth of our community through innovative infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead project meetings and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Optimize designs for cost-efficiency and sustainability.
• Ensure adherence to local and national engineering codes.
• Evaluate and recommend materials and equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present project proposals to clients.
• Document project progress and maintain records.
• Engage with local communities to address engineering concerns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 7+ years of civil engineering experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Soil Mechanics
• Civil Engineering Codes

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with alternative materials: Knowledge of using sustainable and innovative materials in construction.
• Familiarity with BIM technology: Understanding of Building Information Modeling for project coordination.
