Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee our logistics operations in Cape Town. The successful candidate will manage shipments, liaise with suppliers, and ensure that deliveries are carried out efficiently while adhering to budgetary constraints. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage logistics schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Track shipments and address any issues or delays proactively.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize operations.
• Assist in selecting appropriate freight carriers and negotiating contracts.
• Support inventory management by coordinating stock takes and audits.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics roles with supervisory experience highly desirable

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project management skills: Experience in managing logistics projects from inception to execution.
