Pharmacist

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Pharmacist to join PharmaCare Solutions in Cape Town. In this role, you will manage prescription dispensation, monitor patient therapy, and provide expert advice on medication safety. You will also engage with the community through health education initiatives, ensuring that our customers receive the best healthcare support.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication therapy management to optimize drug efficacy.
• Interact with patients to assess health needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Conduct patient education workshops on medication safety.
• Manage prescriptions, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians for efficient service delivery.
• Provide input on stock procurement and management.
• Assist in the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with various health regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Pharm.D degree preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required

Experience

• At least 2 years of pharmacist experience in a clinical setting

Certifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) credential
