Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions aimed at minimizing environmental impact, conducting assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve technical issues related to structural integrity.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Manage timelines and deliverables on multiple concurrent projects.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigative measures.
• Apply innovative solutions to enhance material efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Postgraduate certification in structural design is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years working in a construction or structural engineering role

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) registration
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• Afrikaans: Good
