Hand Riveter

Job Description

The Hand Riveter is responsible for installing rivets in metal structures and components using both hand-held tools and machinery. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in the manufacturing sector and a keen eye for detail, working primarily in industries such as automotive and construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage the inventory of riveting materials and tools.
• Train junior staff in the use of riveting tools and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
• Assist in product testing and validation to ensure quality control.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical training in manufacturing or engineering is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Riveting techniques
• Tool maintenance

Soft Skills

• Time management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with quality assurance practices: Understanding of QA processes in manufacturing.
