Responsibilities

• Assess risk factors associated with insurance applications.
• Evaluate applicants’ financial backgrounds to determine their eligibility.
• Develop insurance policies and set terms of coverage.
• Collaborate with agents and stakeholders to gather necessary information.
• Perform ongoing evaluations of existing policies in relation to underwriting standards.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and present reports on underwriting decisions to management.
• Utilize underwriting software to facilitate analysis.
• Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters.
• Participate in training sessions on new products or market changes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
• Professional certifications (e.g., CII, CPCU) are an advantage

• 3-5 years of experience in underwriting or risk assessment
