Pharmacist

Job Description

As a pharmacist at Pharmacy Solutions Ltd., you will play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective medication use. You will be responsible for verifying prescriptions, providing patient consultations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of pharmaceuticals and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage medication distribution and maintain inventory levels.
• Provide pharmaceutical care, patient counselling and education.
• Inspect and oversee quality control of medication supplies.
• Conduct medication reviews to minimize polypharmacy risks.
• Collaborate with doctors to manage drug therapies for chronic conditions.
• Stay abreast of new medications and treatment protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff.
• Assist in the training and onboarding of new staff members.
• Promote a team-oriented environment while supporting pharmacy operations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Master's or PharmD preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
