UI/UX Designer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team in Durban. This role will involve creating intuitive and engaging user experiences for our web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong design skills and a passion for improving user interactions. As a UI/UX Designer, you will work closely with product managers to understand user needs, use data-driven insights to inform design decisions, and develop mockups and prototypes that enhance functionality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research to understand user needs and behaviours.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs.
• Collaborate with developers and other designers to implement designs.
• Iterate on feedback from users and stakeholders to improve designs.
• Develop user personas and journey maps to inform design decisions.
• Ensure design consistency across all platforms and devices.
• Stay updated with design trends and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design or a relevant field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a portfolio of completed projects

Technical Skills

• Sketch

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in mobile application design: Ability to create user-friendly interfaces for mobile applications.
