Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant who is passionate about safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations. You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, implementing security measures, and advising clients on best practices to mitigate threats.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing security infrastructure and recommend improvements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to promote a security-first mindset.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
• Identify and communicate security risks to stakeholders.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance cybersecurity skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree in Information Security is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consultancy or related roles

Technical Skills

• Penetration Testing
• Compliance Standards (ISO 27001, GDPR)

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with security frameworks: Experience with frameworks such as NIST and CIS for comprehensive security assessments.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws: Understanding of laws such as POPIA and GDPR that impact cybersecurity policies.
