Job Description

We are looking for a Public Health Officer with a passion for community health to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will focus on disease prevention and health promotion, working closely with local communities and health programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community health initiatives and programs.
• Advise on public health regulations and compliance.
• Engage with diverse community groups to improve health literacy.
• Facilitate focus groups to gather health-related feedback.
• Support the dissemination of health information.
• Ensure program sustainability and funding opportunities.
• Prepare and present public health reports.
• Monitor health data and collaborate on improvement strategies.
• Support local health authorities during health crises.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a closely related field
• Master's degree in Public Health or relevant discipline is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in public health initiatives

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Intermediate

Advantageous
