Job Description

We are seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to internal users, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve technical issues and provide support to all company employees.
  • Manage the installation and configuration of computers and peripherals.
  • Support IT projects and initiatives, providing assistance as needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all support incidents and follow-ups.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new employees by providing tech training.
  • Monitor and respond to requests in the help desk ticketing system.
  • Assist in maintaining network and system security protocols.
  • Participate in regular IT team meetings to discuss improvements and strategies.
  • Maintain backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Respond to support requests promptly to minimize downtime.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Information Technology or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or help desk roles
