Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a pharmacist who is passionate about patient care to join our team in Cape Town. You'll work closely with clients to ensure safe medication practices and promote wellness through health education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe distribution of pharmaceuticals.
• Educate patients on proper medication use and potential side effects.
• Maintain inventory and order pharmaceutical supplies.
• Implement patient safety protocols.
• Participate in health promotion activities and community outreach.
• Assist in the training and development of pharmacy interns.
• Respond to medication-related queries from healthcare providers.
• Conduct medication therapy management sessions with patients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred

• Pharmaceutical Knowledge

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Experience in clinical pharmacy settings: Hands-on experience in a hospital or clinical setting is beneficial.
• Familiarity with the latest pharmacy technology: Knowledge of advanced pharmacy management systems is a plus.
