Job Description

We are seeking a talented Animation Storyboard Artist to join our creative team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visual storytelling and the ability to translate scripts into engaging storyboards that capture the essence of our animations. This role requires collaboration with directors, animators, and writers to create a cohesive narrative.

Responsibilities

• Transform scripts into detailed storyboards that effectively convey character emotions and actions.
• Work with the animation team to ensure storyboards are executable within production timelines.
• Create visually appealing layouts for scenes to enhance storytelling.
• Adapt and modify storyboards based on team feedback and direction.
• Collaborate on the development of style guides for visual consistency.
• Engage in troubleshooting creative challenges during the production process.
• Support the team in achieving a cohesive narrative across various projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Multimedia Arts, or similar
• Relevant additional training or certification is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in storyboard artistry or animation

Technical Skills

Certifications

• Adobe Certified Expert

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
