Furnace Utility Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Furnace Utility Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of furnace equipment, ensuring efficiency and safety in all procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor furnaces and related equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Ensure timely loading and unloading of materials into furnaces.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the furnaces and equipment.
• Monitor temperature and pressure parameters to guarantee furnace performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and report any major malfunctions to the maintenance team.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean work environment.
• Work closely with team members to meet production and quality targets.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
• Continuously engage in professional development and training.
• Enhance knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to the role.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Relevant technical certification or diploma is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating and maintaining industrial furnaces

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Time management skills
