Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Auditor to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for evaluating financial operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and conducting audits to ascertain the effectiveness of internal controls. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail are essential in this role as you will guide clients in improving their financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits across various financial operations.
• Advise on risk assessment frameworks and strategies.
• Develop audit processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior auditors.
• Review and analyze financial data for inconsistencies.
• Engage with clients to clarify audit objectives and clarify findings.
• Assist in regulatory compliance checks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Economics
• Professional certifications such as CIMA or ACCA are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years experience in audit or finance function

Technical Skills

• Risk Assessment
• Forensic Auditing

• Organizational Skills

Certifications

• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
• Membership in SAIBA or similar organisations

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Expertise in IFRS standards: In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Prior experience in external auditing: Experience handling external audits for various client types.
