Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Auditor to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for evaluating financial operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and conducting audits to ascertain the effectiveness of internal controls. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail are essential in this role as you will guide clients in improving their financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial audits and compliance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to international auditing standards.
• Generate detailed audit reports and summaries.
• Participate in special investigations and consultancy projects.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of audits.
• Foster strong client relationships for ongoing support and communication.
• Stay ahead of industry developments and regulatory changes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Economics
• Professional certifications such as CIMA or ACCA are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years experience in audit or finance function

Technical Skills

• Risk Assessment

• Organizational Skills

Certifications

• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
• Membership in SAIBA or similar organisations

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Expertise in IFRS standards: In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Prior experience in external auditing: Experience handling external audits for various client types.
