We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Specialist to protect our company's digital assets and infrastructure in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing security measures, managing incidents, and ensuring compliance with standards. Responsibilities

• Conduct penetrative testing to identify vulnerabilities.
• Engage in proactive monitoring of security systems.
• Provide expert guidance on secure coding practices to development teams.
• Lead response efforts for security incidents.
• Develop training materials and workshops pertaining to cybersecurity.
• Coordinate with the IT team during system upgrades to ensure security is top of mind.
• Assist with the compliance audits and documentation.
• Establish security metrics and reporting mechanisms.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in IT security roles

Technical Skills

• Firewall Management
• SIEM Tools

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Security Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with automating security tasks and operations.
• Scripting Knowledge: Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation purposes.
