Responsibilities

  • Examine various types of pets and livestock to diagnose medical conditions.
  • Develop treatment plans for animals, both urgent and routine.
  • Implement surgical procedures as required, with attention to patient safety.
  • Provide guidance to staff for proper animal handling and care.
  • Conduct health education seminars for clients and volunteers.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe environment.
  • Work with shelters and rescue organizations to support animal welfare.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote veterinary services.
  • Monitor and report on the well-being of animals in care.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in veterinary medicine.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Advanced degrees or certifications are beneficial
Experience
  • 3+ years in a clinical or practice setting
