Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating insurance applications and determining the level of risk involved in insuring clients. Your expertise will guide decision-making processes, ensuring we maintain profitability while providing the best coverage options for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed risk evaluations on insurance policies.
  • Compile and analyze underwriting data for reports.
  • Ensure policies align with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with claims and risk management teams.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for policy amendments.
  • Engage in stakeholder meetings to discuss underwriting strategies.
  • Conduct risk assessments for complex cases.
  • Mentor junior underwriters in best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics or Actuarial Science
  • Relevant insurance certifications preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting
